Spicy BBQ Shrimp Tacos


It doesn't get much better than this: tender shrimp, warm tortillas, and just enough heat to wake up your palate. Shrimp is tossed in a chipotle barbeque seasoning to give it a smoky-spice as it's cooked. Creamy avocado and crunch romaine hearts provide relief from the heat to balance out the dish. Stuff that all in a warm tortilla and top with hot sauce if you dare.

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Julienne the romaine and bell pepper. Slice radishes. Peel and pit avocado and cut into cubes.
  3. In a mixing bowl add canola oil and BBQ chipotle seasoning. Toss shrimp until well coated.
  4. In a medium skillet cook shrimp on medium-high for 6 minutes turning occasionally.
  5. Place tortillas on a baking sheet and warm in oven for 3 minutes.
  6. Remove tortillas and add all your ingredients to them evenly and finish with hot sauce, to taste.


  • 12 oz raw shrimp
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 radishes
  • 1 heart of romaine
  • 4 flour tortillas (small/medium)
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 packet chipotle BBQ
  • 1 packet hot sauce
  • 1 packet canola oil
